A warm and friendly hello to all of the Spoofee Community! It has been a whirlwind May, and, June is set to warp speed as well. I have little time to puruse the forums or address each thread (lucky everyone! ) save glancing at the thread topics. To those who have been sick, or under the weather I wish you a speedy recovery and continuing good health! To those in the community who have matriculated on whatever level of academia, Jeb and I offer you our best wishes and prayers for your continuing success! To those planning vacations, family reunions, or traveling for business, I wish you God speed and safe journey! To those here who have nothing better to do with their time than drink and party, I say send me and Jeb an invitation and directions to your home!
From a personal perspective, I have just recently returned from a two week medical mission to Papua New Guinea. Phew, just about broke my heart to see the poverty and sickness within some of the remote villages. One of the biggest dilemas being faced is low economic standards where mothers are forced to breast feed the family pigs, leaving their own babies to starve, or worse yet, develop diseases. These mother's are infected with mastitis, and, pass the bacteria over to the babies. What a mess we all had on our hands. Sadly due to the cultural implications, and, the choice of literally feeding the many and sacrificing the few, I doubt we made any converts to stopping the practice! Keep these folks in your thoughts and prayers....especially the children.
Next adventure for me is a three week boating vacation with my family! Jeb Stuart is onboard for this one! He has his own "Doggy floatation device" and, a hat and sunglasses! Way to cool! :claps:
Speaking of Jeb.....he is now just shy of being six months old, about eleven pounds, bawdy, obnoxious and so gosh darn cute, it is difficult to discipline him! Right now I am getting the cold shoulder for leaving him. He placed first in his obedience class, and, won the category of "Best Swashbuckling Pirate" in the Pirate Competition for the rescue Center. A testimony to his personality! After our vacation, he will have the three surgeries and hopefully that will help a few of his ilks and ills.
Anyway folks, continue upward and onward! Best wishes to you all and your families, and continue to have an enjoyable and healthy summer! As we say on the Island "Until the next time!"
Rags and Jeb Stuart
